Jesse Roper began playing the guitar at age six and performing in his late twenties after overcoming a fear of public performance. Before pursuing music full-time, Roper worked as a painter but found it unfulfilling.
His career took off with the release of his second album, "Red Bird," in 2015, which was nominated for a West Coast Music Award for Best Blues Recording.
